Black with a narrow brass accent stripe with barrels of a pebble (morocco grain) textured composite and black metal body. Marked Lemaire Paris on the bridge and with a bee symbol and France between the barrels. Appear to be fully functional.

The Lemaire firm was founded by Armand Lemaire at 22 & 26 rue Oberkamf, Paris in 1846. It became a leading, internationally renown fabricator of optical equipment and operated until 1955. Humorously, the term jumelles, as binoculars are known in France, is directly translated as "twin girls".

These are in excellent vintage condition. Appear to be fully functional with excellent optics. From the lack of wear, we believe that they were used primarily for display.
