Each are individually made and hand painted in subtle colors, with tasteful accents. They serve as a unique and charming accent to any home decor, especially ones with a French motif. Moderately sized - each measures approximately 8" from head to tail, and stands 5" tall. Pecking quail measures 8”long x 5”tall x 4” deep; sitting measures 7” tall x 5” long x 4” deep.

Heidi Caillard studied fine art and ceramics from 1949-1962, and opened a small pottery workshop in 1968 in a village near Uzes, Southern France. Heidi developed a deep fondness for the little birds that ran around her garden and decided to create them in clay. As business thrived she moved her family to a larger farmhouse in Lussan, the picturesque walled medieval village in Provence. All their ceramics are hand made and hand painted to a very high standard and are much sought after all around the world.
