Delft porcelain - produced in the city of Delft. The small town of Delft near The Hague is valued for the fact that for many years the royal factory has been producing one of the world-famous Delft porcelain.
The secret of Delft porcelain production would have sunk into oblivion if in 1876 two Dutch entrepreneurs had not bought a factory in order to revive the ancient production. In 1884, they invented white clay, superior in strength to English products, completely changed the technology and began to produce porcelain, which soon gained world fame. In 1919, the Delft trademark was named Royal or Royal for services to revive traditions.
