Renzo igne born in gaiarine, in the province of treviso in 1940 renzo igne, sculptor and painter, still a teenager moved to castellamonte (to) where he attends the local art school 'happy i do' and where he completes his formation as a pupil of victor cerrato in turin. In the sixties he returned to castellamonte and opens, he sets off his wife maria morandini, his own furnace and dedicating himself to teaching. Shortly afterwards he opens a shop in turin, the muffola, where it markets its production. In 1977 he graduated in architecture from the polytechnic of milan. At the beginning of the 1980s he worked in his study in via torino 60 in castellamonte where he made unique pieces and in a small series of figurative sculpture, often with sacred subject, and abstract material compositions, modeled by hand or by impression in plaster and cooked mold in an electric oven at low and high temperatures. In his artistic career he participates in numerous editions of the faenza prize and the annual exhibitions of ceramiche di castellamonte. Renzo igne died in turin in 2001.
