This 1920s Antique Tin made by Wed. J. Bekkers and Son - Holland was made in the shape of a real Dutch Windmill.
This is the largest model : 84 cm height including his wings. ( The wings are restorated, please see detail pictures) )

This object was used as a counter display/ grocery display /advertising display,
At the same time as the toffees (1926), the rise of the richly decorated cans began as valuable packaging.
The shop tin in the shape of the Dutch windmill is one of the most special and famous shop tins from VanMelle.
The mill was in the stores on the counter and served as an eye-catcher that had to be tempted to buy as many toffees as possible!
