Late 19th to Early 20th Century Oil Painting "Colonial Bread Vendors" c.1900
Fine old painting of bread vendors on the street. The male vendor has been overlooked in favor of two beautiful women. He never had a chance!
Painted with oils on canvas. There is some paint loss and craquelure (consistent with age) throughout the painting, but we think this adds a lot of character to this old painting. The painting is signed in the lower right corner (illegible). Housed in a frame from the 1930s or 40s.
Canvas dimensions 20" x 30". The frame measures 25 3/4" x 35 3/4".
The frame is for added support only. A new frame could give this wonderful painting a new life.
