Dimensions : Height 18cm , Width 19cm, Length 20cm. Perfect condition.
Otto Gerharz, inventor of the 'fat-lava' technique, worked for Ruscha ceramics in the 1950s.
In 1964, he founded his own workshop, 'Otto Keramik'.
Today, his son, Otto Junior, continues the tradition. For this, he still uses the same moulds and techniques as his father.
This beautifully stylised elephant is less well known than Otto Keramik's other animals.
Each model is unique and handmade. No two identical specimens exist. This piece has an attribution mark,
