Here … Read more Large pendant light from the Italian manufacturer Cartel after a design of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni from 1959. Here in a very rare version with a yellow umbrella.

The lamp is formally made up of two parts, the frame element made of metal and the umbrella elements made of translucent plastic (methacrylate). This material combination is particularly special here. The classic material of the nickel -plated steel and the then state -of -the -art methacrylate. A contrast in color and materiality. The metal as an actually load -bearing element only looks out of the lamp at the top. The shade parts are loose.
