Piet Mondrian ( 1872 - 1944 ) Was a Dutch born Modernist painter and art theorist. He is considered to be one of the most important Abstract Modern artists of all time. He evolved a non-representational form which he termed Neoplasticism. Influenced by Cubism, the early Modernist Geometric art works were considered quite Avant-Garde for the time in which they were created. Artworks by Mondrian are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The vintage lithograph print was printed in Japan in 1970. It features an artwork image originally created by Mondrian in 1916 titled " Composition. The print is a page from an authentic vintage artists publication. The print plate image is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached to the page by hand on the left side edge. This print is suitable for framing.

The print plate image measures 6 1/4" W X 10" H, on a page that is 9 1/8" W X 12 1/4" H. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side of the page that refers to a different artwork image.

It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling. it has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. See less
