Fabulous vintage c.1920's oil on board painting by the well listed American artist, Norman Kennedy (b.1895 d.1975.) It depicts the Parthenon in the background with a black horse in the fore, very dramatic painting with great texture.
It is signed lower right as shown in the photographs. It is in overall fair condition as shown, does have significant craquelure to the oil paint throughout as shown, and could benefit from a thorough cleaning. Likely has some small areas of paint loss. The frame is structurally in very good condition, but there is wear to the gold gilding as shown.
It measures 29" wide by 23" tall overall framed size, with a sight size of 23 1/2" by 17 1/2".
