Wonderful watercolor that harkens to summer camp memories by Aptos, California artist Virginia J. Hughins (American, 1923-2004), circa 1970 Signed "Hughins" lower right. Unframed. Image, 11.5"H x 9.25"L.
Hughins was an accomplished artist, many of her watercolors could be seen around Santa Clara, Santa Cruz County Watercolor Society shows. She was an avid freelance writer and illustrator for children's books. Lifetime member of Romance Writers Association and Pen Women's Association.
