This pair of early 19th century blown mold decanters would most likely been made shortly following the American War of … Read more This pair of early 19th century blown mold decanters would most likely been made shortly following the American War of 1812 when there was increased interest in fancy cut glass pieces but diminished means to purchase. Glass was blown into a clay mold, removed from the mold and enlarged. Finally, it was ground and finished. The product was far less expensive than the popular Irish cut glass. See less
