This antique cassettiera (chest of drawers) from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top, which slightly overhangs the case below which houses two full-sized drawers, each fitted with a pair of stylish brass pulls flanking a shield-shaped escutcheon within their center. The chest is nicely raised on tapered squared legs. The walnut wood is warm and rich, with lovely graining throughout. This mid 19th century Italian chest, with its clean and linear lines, would make a useful decorative storage piece, great for a bedroom, or perhaps an accent case for your foyer or hall. See less
