Desert scene by award winning, self-taught artist Dr. Lucien C. Vannerson. Signed "Vannerson" lower right, dated 1962. Artist's label with title on verso. Silver wood frame. Image, 27"H x 35"L.
A doctor of chiropractic, Vannerson practiced in New Mexico, California and Arizona. He first became interested in painting in 1941 as relaxation from his professional duties. In 1956 he won four ribbons on two paintings in the Arizona State Fair, and from that time, devoted himself entirely to painting.
