The work consist of … Read more Playful abstract artwork by Danish artist Erik Lagoni Jakobsen made at his own workshop in 1968. The work consist of different found object mounted on a circle and painted. It is inspired by surrealism and dadaism and is typical for Jakobsens works from this period. Erik Lagoni Jakobsen, (1930-2000) was a Danish visual artist. He was a trained silver engraver (1949) and studied at the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts 1954-58. Lagoni Jakobsen worked abstractly with graphics, collage and painting, for example the decoration of Viby County High School (1970). from 1958-67 he taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. from 1980, Lagoni Jakobsen was a member of "The Decembrists". The work is signed and dated by the artist. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
