A finely drawn and detailed Tara is seated on a lotus throne with an ornate, floral mandorla, displaying the Dhyana mudra, with two seated bodhisattvas on cloud thrones with various Buddhist symbols below, who flank double, Fu lions above a sea of stylized waves supporting the Buddhist Dharmachakra symbol. Two bodhisattvas with offerings, flanking a flaming vajra, float above the mandorla amid stylized clouds. All in fine gilt line drawing on a dark green/black glaze. The signature of Minister Ding Guanpeng, respectfully, painting", with two small seal marks, is found at the lower left of the image. Two larger seal marks are seen at the upper left and lower right of the image. The plaque is mounted in its original, finely carved, Chinese, heavy, hongmu frame with original bronze hanger. See less
