Stylized shell, floral and foliate motifs appear in abundance throughout the design, on the pair of exterior drawers, and on the undulating apron. Even the gracefully scrolled cabriole legs have received the attentions of the sculptor's hand, tipped with cloven hoof feet. When open, the piece provides a surprising work surface perfect for laptops or tablets, with interior cubby holes and drawers ideal for storage of office or collector's paraphernalia.
