Pay homage to African culture with this beautiful Kuba Raffia Cloth Pillow Cover. Each cloth expresses the art, culture, and traditions of the Kuba people of Congo. The men use traditional techniques to hand-weave the raffia fibers using single-heddle looms. They’re also tasked to soften and prepare the rough cloth by pounding it in mortars. Once the cloth is ready, the Kuba women take over and hand-stitch appliqués in patterns unique to each cloth.
