It is a … Read more This is a RARE original fashion drawing created in the 1950s by a Bordeaux couturier, Jean-Pierre Chansard. It is a showstopper! Sexy, chic and elegant. Forever timeless. The shawl styled cape is dramatic with its fur trim and is worn with its slender pencil style skirt also with the fur trim. The matching hat worn on the side the complete the ensemble. And the long black gloves are the perfect finishing touches. And....check out the wonderful expression on the model's face and note her extended pointed finger! The fashion illustration is done in chartreuse gouache and ink on thick colored paper stock. We purchased this from a Parisian print dealer who specializes in original fashion drawings; she provided us with a copy of the couturier's letterhead as authentic documentation. See photo.
