We are selling this great late 18th century oil on canvas painting. We believe this painting to be the lost original painting of "The Industrious Cottage Wife" by English Painter Henry Singleton R.A. There is a print by Charles Turner after this painting published in 1803. This painting has several alterations to the composition as well as old repairs and restorations. Possibly the original gold frame and stretcher.
Condition: There are several visible repairs to tears in the canvas, including above the boys head and his neck. THe canvas has been re-lined.
