Details:
This beautiful cushion cover is handmade using a vintage 19th Century Nishijin silk textiles. It boasts an authentic hand- embroidery Japanese traditional fabric weaving an exotic garden pattern made of natural silk, and richly metallic threads.
Silk is tightly woven into the fabric of Japanese art and culture. While silk has been used in Japanese textiles since the 5th century. Silk first came to Japan via Korea in the 4th Century, but was revolutionized with new weaving processes in Kyoto in the nineteenth century. These woven textiles fashioned in Kyoto’s Nishijin district are known as Nishijin-ori, or Nishijin textiles. This is the highest quality silk product available in Japan because of their high quality and deep history and are used to create the best quality kimono fabric and obi, as well as wallets and purses, costumes for noh theatre, and festival decorations. One modern company that has been weaving Nishijin silk textiles since the Meiji Restoration is Tatsumura Textile. They have produced products for Emperor Hirohito himself and are valued as the great modern weavers of Nishijin Ori.

This pillow is decorated with a velvet thick piping and framed with a rustic sequined vintage lace trim all along the edges professionally sewn, giving to this piece an extra exquisite touch.
The Front side is made using three layers of materials: a top layer which is the vintage hand- embroidery fabric, one layer of a luxurious velvet fabric in camel gold color and lined at the bottom which a camel gold satin fabric. It is used a fusible interfacing sandwiched between the velvet fabric and the satin fabric for durability and maintain its shape for keeping it well.
The back side used the same camel gold velvet fabric used in the front.
All covers are professionally sewn with 4 threads overlocked and invisible zipper, professionally sewn at the bottom.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
I recommend dry clean only. Use a fabric over the pillow to iron it very carefully to do not damage the fabric. When it is not used keep without bending to avoid damaging the painting.

Pillow cover size: 15x23 inches.
There may be +/- 3% Tolerance on measurements. Minor variances do not affect the fit. SABDECO pillow covers are human-made and measurements may not be exact down to the millimeter.
The finished dimensions in all my covers are always slightly smaller than the pillow inserts; creating a form-fitting designer pillow that is nice and plump.
