About the author: Stephen J. Spignesi is a NY Times best-selling author who specializes in popular culture, including historical biography, television, film, history, and contemporary fiction. He has written more than thirty books and lectures and teaches writing in the Connecticut area. Before turning to a full-time writing career in 1990, he managed a family jewelry business for fifteen years and studied with the Gemological Institute of America.
