About the author: Stephen J. Spignesi is a NY Times best-selling author who specializes in popular culture, including historical biography, television, film, history, and contemporary fiction. Before turning to a full-time writing career in 1990, he managed a family jewelry business for fifteen years and studied with the Gemological Institute of America.
