Antique Persian Sarouk Rug with Italian Country Cottage Style 06'07 x 09'09. With brilliant blues and warm terracotta hues inspired by Italy, this hand-knotted wool antique Persian Sarouk rug beautifully embodies an Italian Country Cottage style. The abrashed tan field is covered in an all-over dense floral pattern composed of blooming palmettes, millefleur sprays, curved hyacinth, cloudbands, rosettes, stylized florals, leafy tendrils, and floral sprigs sprouting from each corner. It is enclosed with a botanical floral border flanked with double inner and outer floral meander guard borders. Displaying understated elegance, architectural elements of naturalistic forms, and warm earthy colors, this antique Persian Sarouk rug astounds with its beauty.
Rendered in variegated shades of royal blue, sky blue, terra cotta, rust, burnt orange, navy blue, ecru, tan, taupe, sand, and beige with other accent colors.
