Displaying balanced symmetry and bold geometric shapes, this pair of hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runners beautifully embody Art Deco style. Each Oushak runner features a double vertical column of four hexagonal cartouche medallions floating in a dark crimson sea of abrash waves. The Oushak runners are framed with a latch-hook vitruvian scroll border flanked with an inner floral meander guard band. Highlighting rectilinear architectural elements and large-scale designs, this vintage Oushak runner is an amalgam of tribal influence and goes beyond the boundaries of everyday design to evoke feelings of otherworldly stories and symbolism. Rendered in variegated shades of crimson, ruby red, garnet, brick red, coffee, taupe, slate, dark gray, ecru, tan, sand, and beige with other accent colors. Abrash. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Turkey.
