74581 Vintage Persian Mahal Rug, 05’01 x 09’11.
Perpetually posh meets Elizabethan style in this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Mahal rug. The eye-catching decorative details and rich color palette woven into this piece work together resulting in a grandeur and timeless look. A large-scale beige medallion superimposed with a diamond floret is patterned with stylized florals and foliage. An intricate allover pattern composed of rectilinear vines with buds and leaves capaciously cover the sumptuous red field. Equally striking corner spandrels echo the strong form from the medallion design. An angular floral botanical border creates a lovely frame. Delicate carnation meander guard borders add a beautiful finishing touch. Reflecting elements of Elizabethan interior design and traditional sensibility, this vintage Persian area rug is one of stately, classic appeal and color richness.
Rendered in variegated shades red, navy blue, blue, maroon, royal blue, orange, cerulean, brown, brick red, rose, Aegean blue, taupe, and wine with other accent colors.
