Vintage Berber Moroccan Boujad Rug with Checkerboard Pattern and Postmodern Style. Vibrant and dynamic, this hand-knotted wool vintage Berber Moroccan rug features cubism style and an abstract art design. The vintage Moroccan rug features alternating blocks of red and pink form an all-over checkerboard pattern which represents the barley, a fertility symbol. The overall sensibility evokes the works of Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, William Kendall and Albert Gleizes. Lovely waves of abrash give a painterly appearance to the stunning color palette. With its retro approach, vivid colors, and captivating Cubist style, this vintage Moroccan rug would enliven any space with its forward-looking spirit.
