Vintage Chinese Art Deco Rug 11'06 x 18'00. This hand-knotted wool vintage Chinese Hotel Lobby Size rug features an Art Deco style showcasing symmetry and harmony. An creamy-beige medallion filled with angular vines and geometric shapes takes center stage in a cut-out field of pinkish-peach and creamy-beige. The medallion is anchored with sky blue pendants at either side and surrounded by a symmetrical pattern composed of rectilinear vines, eight-point star flowers, hard-edge organic shapes, and curved sickle leaves with serrated edges. The spandrels are filled with an angular turtle and vine scroll motif expanding into each corner. It is enclosed with a complementary turtle and vine scroll border flanked with floral meander inner and outer guard bands.
