Rich inAncient Berber symbolism, this vintage Berber Moroccan rug features manytraditional symbols of protection, femininity and conception. This purple Beni Mguild rug is heavily ornamented with diamond shapes, which represent a woman'sopenness to conceive and the power of womanhood. Smaller diamonds, when housedinside of larger diamonds, is known to predict a pregnancy. Some of thelozenges have latch-hook edges are protection symbols and meant to capture evilspirits. Two vertical borders composed of alternating diamonds and ladderdesigns representing the male's role in reproduction.
