This hand-knotted wool Distressed vintage Turkish Oushak rug features a pole medallion with tree of life extensions and a central lozenge motif patterned with rosettes and Ram's Horn motifs. Each corner spandrel is adorned with a serrated feather, bird motif, two crosses, and rectilinear Anatolian symbols. It is enclosed with a double border of repeating tulip flowers and leafy clusters flanked with an outer eight-point star guard border and barber pole stripe. Enhanced by its Distressed composition and waves of abrash sweeping across the field, this vintage Oushak rug beautifully displays worn-in charm with an intimate patina. Bespeaking age and history, this time-worn Oushak rug is the perfect complement to interiors with similar richness and rustic vibes including natural wood furnished chalets, estates, cottages, and mountainside abodes as found in Colorado, Lake Tahoe, or the Adirondacks.
