20263 Vintage Talsint Moroccan Rug, 05'02 x 09'02. Delight in the craftsmanship of this hand-knotted wool vintage Talsint Moroccan rug, originating from the Figuig region in northeast Morocco, also recognized as Aït Bou Ichaouen. Unfurling as a canvas of abstract intricacy, this rug is a testament to the fusion of vibrant and intricate patterns, where nomadic charm effortlessly melds with Jungalow's maximalist style. The abrashed red backdrop becomes adorned with an allover pattern, featuring diamonds, squares, cubes, triangles, lozenges, and checkerboard Barley motifs, creating a lively and dynamic composition.
Diamonds, woven into the fabric, carry the profound meaning of protection and the essence of femininity. The presence of squares and cubes reflects not only stability but also the equilibrium that comes with being grounded. Triangles bring a symbolic touch of change, progression, and the harmonious coexistence of opposites. The lozenges in the design are more than mere shapes—they symbolize interconnectedness and act as a source of protection. Checkerboard Barley motifs contribute to the tapestry with their representation of fertility and abundance. The vivid red background, at the core of this composition, conveys vitality, passion, and a profound connection to the earth. Infused with ancient Berber Tribe symbolism, this Moroccan rug becomes a visual narrative, encapsulating cultural beliefs and traditions passed down through generations.
Rendered in variegated shades of red, black, gray, ivory, charcoal and peach with other accent colors.
