20244 Vintage Talsint Moroccan Rug, 05'01 X 08'07. Experience the captivating artistry of this hand-knotted wool vintage Talsint Moroccan rug, emerging from the Figuig region in northeast Morocco, also known as Aït Bou Ichaouen. A masterpiece of Abstract Expressionist inspiration, the rug unfurls as a canvas of abstract intricacy, boasting asymmetrical lines and vibrant colors that seamlessly meld with nomadic charm.
The inherent tribal design and earthy hues woven into this piece coalesce to create a visual symphony. The abrashed beige field becomes a dynamic tableau, hosting an intricate design of irregular dark lines crisscrossing organically to form an abstract lozenge lattice, symbolizing femininity and womanhood. Along the bottom half, a checkerboard pattern, known as the barley motif, weaves its way, symbolizing fertility and abundance, adding depth to this vintage Moroccan rug's expressive narrative.
