It’s probably from the 20s, or perhaps the 30s, and all-original except for the new, rayon-covered cord just installed. Some of the pink paint has been lost over the decades, but this “patina” just adds to the lamp’s antique authenticity. The small area inside the lamp’s harp (which houses the light bulb) only allows for a small bulb, and your choices are limited – either a 60-watt “appliance” bulb or a standard 15-watt bulb. Easily reach under the shade and turn the lamp on or off via the push-pull original socket, which incorporates the switch.

The photo with the light on is not representative of the actual color when lit; it’s way too far on the orange/red end of the spectrum.
Of course an incandescent bulb will promote a warm feeling but nothing like the photo suggests. There’s a small chip on the top of the shade, but it’s on the inside of the shade and would only be noticeable if you’re looking down at the shade, and “inspecting!” You can see it in the photo taken from above the lamp, just to the left of the finial.

This lamp will surely delight the eye and add to the ambiance of your boudoir.

Measurements: about 12 ¼ high, including the finial; the shade is 5 ½ inches across and the base, 3 ¼. See less
