Kalmar is a prominent 20th Century Austrian design firm whose modernist minimalist lines stemmed from their innovative lighting designs. This board left me breathless with its beauty and integrity. Every detail is made with respect for the beautiful wood, and with an eye for the end user, the happy home. The staved wood carving platform in the center is surrounded by a moat to capture the juices. The corners on the bottom are slightly elevated to allow for easy handling.
