Vintage Japanese Patinated Bronze Murashido Vase
It is about 9.75" tall.
Unsigned piece.
Very beautiful!
The Murashido technique of finishing metalwork was introduced in the early 19th century. It involves dipping the item in oil immediately after firing, then smoking with burning rice straw. This gives the item its distinctive finish.
