Vibrant watercolor painting of a verdant garden landscape with sub-tropical foliage and flowers by Georgine Rake Goodman (1924-2012). Signed lower right and titled "Bocalhao", (Portugal), 1985. Ms. Goodman was a fashion writer for the New York Times.
The painting is executed in a somewhat abstract style, and the work's custom framing includes triple mats and a natural maple frame. Gallery label on reverse, "Catherine Sylvia Reiss, Darien, CT". Image view area, 15.75" across x 12.25" tall.
