Vaso in ceramica lavorata al tornio, firmata franco bucci per laboratorio pesaro . Italia, anni 60 origine italia periodo anni 60 designer franco bucci franco bucci nasce a colbordolo, in provincia di pesaro, nel 1933 dove si diploma all'istituto d'arte 'ferruccio mengaroni' diplomandosi maestro d'arte nella sezione metalli dove nel 1954 inizia la sua attività didattica, come insegnante di smalti su metallo, che prosegue fino al 1968. Nel 1954 fonda insieme a paolo sgarzini e vladimiro vanni 'mastro 3' laboratorio che produce oggetti di rame smaltato. Si avvicina alla ceramica sul finire degli anni cinquanta, condividendo l'esperienza, con federigo fabbrini, di designer per la manifattura ceramica 'villeroy & boch'. Nel 1958 federigo fabbrini, tornato in italia, invita lui e nanni valentini a lavorare nel suo laboratorio. Tra la fine degli anni cinquanta e i primi anni sessanta franco bucci è presente a numerose mostre sia in italia che all'estero e, nel 1960, vince una medaglia d'argento alla triennale di milano. Nel 1961 fonda, insieme ad altri soci, tra cui lo stesso nanni valentini , la manifattura ' laboratorio pesaro ', di cui nel 1966 diviene direttore artistico, dove realizza una vasta gamma di oggetti la cui connotazione stilistica principale è la purezza e l'essenzialità della forma, unita ad una assoluta mancanza di colore. Nel 1968 si classifica primo alla mostra nazionale di ceramica di cervia. Nel 1970 è chiamato, insieme a federigo fabbrini, come designer dall'industria ceramica villeroy & boch. Nel 1972 ottiene un riconoscimento ufficiale al victoria and albert museum di londra, torna in italia e accetta di lavorare come designer del 'gruppo ceramiche iris'. Negli anni ottanta opera nel suo studio di pesaro in strada romagna 45. Nel 1987 inizia a sperimentare la produzione di grandi lastre in ceramica monolitica che lo porta ad ottenere, grazie ad un impasto da lui brevettato, lastre fino a m. 2 x 1. Nel 1995 cede l'azienda, rimnendone direttore artistico fino al 1998, anno in cui apre un laboratorio ceramico dove realizza pezzi unici e in piccola serie. Negli anni successivi inizia una ricerca sulla porcellana che lo porta nel 2000 a brevettare un altro materiale ceramico altamente resistente al fuoco e agli sbalzi termici. Tra i collaboratori degli ultimi anni di produzione ricordiamo loreno sguanci. Franco bucci muore a pesaro nel 2002 dopo aver realizzato il museo delle terrecotte di fratterosa, paesino di antica tradizione ceramica, in provincia di pesaro. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
