These very fine large scale decorative urns feature hand painted landscapes and gilt bronze mounts. The cylinder shaped covers are surmounted by a cupola decorated with gilt bronze pine cone on top. The bronze-mounted body has burnished gilt bronze handles finely chiseled as gargoyle mask gothic figure. These vases are superbly decorated in the Sevres manner with delightful hand painted ovals of romantic rural landscapes scenes framed by a rich floral and leaves hand painted ornamental gold frame. The hand painted decorations seem to feature the same place depicted from two different points of view. They are raised on rimmed gilded bronze base decorated with floral and geometrical ovolo details. Great shape, very scenographic and extremely decorative items, perfect condition no chips or cracks. Great statement piece display them in the living room, on the sides of an entrance or on a staircase or outside in your patio. Measures: Height 110cm, width 43cm. See less
