The chairs feature hand carved open work back with slight curved and scrolled lines, centered by pierced carvings in the form of a scrolled v ( or stylized lyre motif ) with acanthus leaves inlays. This awesome openwork hand carved decoration is highlighted by gilt details. The seats resting on saber legs gently shaped as an extension of the backrests. The precious mahogany essence has a wonderful grain and warm coloration with beautiful original patina.
