Inspiration was drawn from the … Read more This is part of a series of abstract color-field paintings done in the early 2000's. Inspiration was drawn from the abstract expressionists of the mid 1900's, and the landscape around me. When I created this series, the hardest part was loosing the image (as in a traditional landscape) and coming up with a non-objective abstract. I hung on to this one for a while but am ready to let it go to someone who'll appreciate it.

This is professional grade acrylic paint on canvas. The painting measures 36" high by 48" wide on a 1.5" thick stretched canvas. It's wired and ready to hang.

About the artist: Stephen Remick was born and raised in Vermont. He earned a BFA in Painting from Swain School of Design, a small art school in Massachusetts. He resides in a coastal New England town with his wife, Anne Carrozza Remick, who is also an artist on Chairish. Steve is currently (2025) president of South Coast Artists, a well-known and respected local artists' association. His paintings are in private collections all over the U.S. and abroad. See less
