We are pleased to offer this pair of pair of Antique Chinese pedestals of the rare hardwood Huanghuali. Each one hand made, of typical rectangular form with a detailed carved architectural frieze with a front 'Circle' medallion. This medallion is only to the front the pedestal only.
In Chinese culture, the circle stands for “fulfilled”, “oneness”, “perfection”, “unity”. meaning it's the process of something coming full circle that bears the most importance.
The back of the pedestal there is no evidence a 'Circle' medallion.
It is an intentional design characteristic, that there will only be a
Circle' medallion tot he front of the pedestals.
Raised on four square column legs joined by a bottom carved undulating stretcher.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a pair of Antique Chinese in the scarce "yellow flowering pear" wood, Huanghuali.
