Paul Cezanne ( 1839 - 1905 ) was a French artist and Postimpressionist painter who laid the foundations of transition from 10th Century conception of artistic endeavor to a new and radically different world of art in The Twentieth Century. Cezanne is said to have formed the bridge between late 19th Century Impressionism and the early 20th Century new line of artistic inquiry. Both Matisse and Picasso are said to have remarked that Cezanne " Is the father of us all ".

It focuses on his achievement as a painter exploring the landscape and lifestyle in and around his hometown of Aix-En-Provence.
