Meiji period (1868–1912), pair of near matching Japanese champleve’ enameled bronze handled urn vases professionally electrified and fashioned as table lamps, the Asian antiques surmounted by large figural griffin finials, fitted with a single bulb light fixture, having a patinated brass capped high quality bronze and brass bottleneck affixed with flanking sculptural stylized mythical creature handles, bulbous shaped vasiform tapering body with rich polychrome enamel decorated trailing grape vine, floral and Phoenix bird motif, rising on later gilt metal dolphin form scroll supports, atop undulating lobed stand with beautiful repousse work and pierced arabesque openwork plinth base.
