Opulent Italian solid bronze gueridon or center table made in the grand Baroque taste. The table features a lacquered parcel gilt finish with a desirable aged patina. Each side is centered with a large cartouche embellished with gilt acanthus sprays having rocaille finials. The elegant scrolled legs are conjoined by a cross stretcher centered by a rocaille shell form finial. The base is very heavy and solid weighing over approximately 200 pounds and topped with a thick, round pane of glass having a beveled edge. The table would support any size stone or marble top upgrade. The table is finished on all sides perfect for an entry and foyer. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship seldom seen today.
