Very rare loung chair from ca 1940 in birch (or maybe elm) with new off-white fabric to both cushions. The pegs / stems at the backrest are made of bamboo and the seat cushion is held up with a rattan bottom. It's attributed to Swedish / German designer Otto Schulz for his own firm BOET that was producing furniture from the mid 1930s up until 1950 in Gothenburg, Sweden. He was also an often hired interior decorator and was always providing watercolour sketches of the interiors he designed for his clients. All those sketches are now in the collection of Röhsska Museet in Gothenburg and it is on one of those sketches called "Vardagsrum för Herr Knut Hultén" (Living room for Mr Knut Hultén) that we find a very, very similar chair in the foreground. Overall in a very good vintage condition with light ware consistent with age and use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution

Returns
The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when
making a purchase on Chairish, in the event that your item:
- Does not arrive
- Is broken during transit
- Is entirely different than what you purchased

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
