This stunning handwoven vintage kilim is a true Anatolian treasure, crafted in the 1960s in the culturally rich Balıkesir region of western Turkey. Measuring approximately 6 ft 9 in x 9 ft 6 in this large flatweave rug was made using the Cicim (Jijim) technique—an extra-weft brocading method—on a foundation of natural Aegean cotton, with richly colored hand-spun wool threads.
