This utterly unique mixed media collage combines newsprint, magazine cutouts, tissue paper and paint to create a depiction of a young prince seated on a throne. The nobleman is identifiable as such by his ornate crown and imposing, ruffled cape. Upon closer inspection, one notices some subversive elements woven into the composition including the prince’s right arm which ends in a hook and his left arm that resembles a hoof.
The unsigned work was recently framed in beveled oak.
