His Rising Fawn Folk Art was sprawled across his wonderful property on Lookout Mountain Georgia. I remember probably 25 years ago I was visiting Jimmy with a friend and he said Purvis Young will transition from Folk Art to Fine Art. I didn’t fully understand and wasn’t sure..well that has happened.

Purvis had many people help him along the way from his start in Good Bread Alley, Miami. Around 2014 the Smithsonian purchased 4 purvis young paintings and in 2019 the Miami Art Museum founder Bernard Davis introduced Purvis Young to a much larger segment of the public.

Note: Professionally framed in a shadow box with complete matting and a frame that looks like vintage cork. The painting is attached with small barbs so easily taken off if you prefer different framing but I thought it turned out nice. Painting on un stretched
raw/rustic canvas. Signed.. Dimensions provided include frame.
