Paired here are circa mid to late 20th Century hand-carved Iroko (Teak) wood generuk (antelope) and eland (gazelle) figurines made in Kenya and originally sold through a Scandinavian furniture gallery, which was common in that era.
Whether alone or in a grouping, they are ideal as decorations for embellishing bookshelves, side tables, and credenzas, adding a hint of global flair.
The standing generuk measures approximately 5 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 10 1/4" in stature and stands on an oval-shaped base measuring 4 x 1 3/4" x 1"
The resting eland measures approximately 5" x 1 3/4" x 8 1/4" and the oval-shaped base measures 4 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/2."
