Anne Bourassa's piece is an more modern interpretation of Gustav Klimt's 1907 work, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer. In Bourassa's work the woman is wrapped in fabric that most closely resembles the exotically tribal aesthetic of a lot of African textile. The piece is very large and impressive at 86" tall and 43.5" wide. Bourassa pays homage to the beauty and the spirit of Klimt's work but by offering her own style and careful considering she allows the piece to stand on its own and not just a mere copy of the original.
If you are a fan of Gustav Klimt and the Art Nouveau aesthetic moment this piece is an absolute must have.
