This antique table from … Read more A beautifully carved Italian walnut console table, with lower tier platform shelf, from the 18th century. This antique table from Italy is comprised of rich walnut wood that has been exquisitely carved in a foliate motif about the apron, and its elegant legs with acanthus leaf wrapped volute tops and paw feet. The four carved legs rest atop a platform base (or lower shelf) that is raised upon shallow bun style feet. A single drawer is hidden within the front of the apron, and fitted with a single brass bust knob pull at center. This 18th century Italian console table is a handsome piece that would make a stately and welcoming presence in an entry foyer. See less
